BRAND U with Peer Feedback
ICF Coaching Week (ICW) is February 5-11, 2012. It is a global celebration of the coaching profession held annually. Originally founded in 1999 by ICF member Jerri N. Udelson, MCC, ICW is a designated time each year for coaches and clients to educate the general public about the value of working with a professional coach and to acknowledge the results and progress made through the coaching process.
The Houston Coaches Education Committee invites you to join your peers from 3:45 to 5:45 BEFORE the regular dinner meeting on February 6 to participate in an interactive small group discussion led by Margaret Maat on your coaching brand: What’s special about you and your approach to coaching. There will be opportunity for peer feedback and brainstorming. There is no fee for participating, but you MUST REGISTER so we can plan seating and handouts.
Please join us for this stimulating discussion and celebration of the profession that has given us so much.

Message from our President
Dear Colleagues:
WELCOME! Houston Coaches Inc. (HCI) is a rockin’, inclusive and diverse professional coaching community that welcomes all coaches and those that are interested in coaching. We strive to attract and support our membership through our meetings, programs and educational offerings. GET INVOLVED and help us make Houston Coaches the place where we all come to get our own cups filled! Tell us what you are interested in, share our programs with others, and help us attract and bring in new members! As we are responsive to our clients, our goal is to be responsive to our coaching community.
Our goals for 2011-2012 support our vision of “CONNECT and EXPAND.”
These include:
- Sponsor events that provide greater visibility and opportunities for Houston Coaches (HC Coaching at Diversity Summit, Houston Minority Supplier Development Conference and more);
- Provide responsive and stimulating programs to increase the skills and effectiveness of our members;
- Increase sponsorships and collaborations to expand our connections and visibility within related communities;
- Showcase our members (Member on-line Bulletin Board, Educational presentations);
- Provide a forum where members can discuss issues of professional concern; and
- Foster a coaching community where members can relax, collaborate and engage their peers in intentional play and authentic dialog.
Our goals for this next year include the production of our 2012 Houston Coaches Membership and Resource Guide. This beautiful and professional guide will be available both as a hard copy and on line. Be sure and encourage potential new members to join and participant in this fabulous guide.
As president, I commit to maintaining and expanding our inclusive and diverse organization. I believe diversity is our strength and will enable us to “Connect and Expand” as we create a greater presence in our Houston community. As a Chartered Chapter of the International Coaching Federation, HCI strives to uphold the highest ethical standards in the practice of coaching. The Board of Directors and I look forward to your involvement, support and creativity in 2011-12.
Living with spirit and hair on fire,
Liz Plaster
